Empowering Education: Volunteer Management System for Scribes

Finding scribes to assist visually challenged students during exams used to be a daunting, time-consuming process. Our Volunteer Management System through a website has transformed this by providing an easy-to-use platform where volunteers can sign up, access exam schedules, and be informed. The platform automates the previously manual tasks of coordinating and tracking volunteers, ensuring no student is left without the help they require.

 

Impact:

Since launching the platform in April till Sep 2024, we have seen over 450+ volunteers register through https://udhavimaghil.org/ website. During this period, 1,624 calls were made to coordinate efforts, and volunteers dedicated a total of 2,184 hours to successfully complete 446 exams and 60 reading sessions. This initiative has greatly improved the educational experience for visually challenged students, helping them achieve their academic potential while empowering volunteers to contribute in a structured, fulfilling way. It also significantly reduces the administrative burden, allowing for more streamlined coordination of these vital services.
